SITIO MADLUM: Mountains and Mystery

December 2015:

Approximately 3 hours away from the busy city of Manila is a place full of adventure and mystery named Sitio Madlum. It is located in Barangay Sibul, San Miguel Bulacan, around 100 kilometers from Manila.

The place not only offers hiking to Mount Manalmon and Mount Gola but also other outdoor adventures such as spelunking, cliff jumping, swimming and crossing the monkey bridge. It is also the location of the upcoming TV show of ABS-CBN’s ‘Tubig at Langis’, GMA’s teleserye ‘Mulawin’ and Julie Vega’s last movie, Lovingly Yours, Helen.

WHERE TO EAT:

Stores are available near the registration area but the price is a bit expensive than the usual. It is probably best if you bring your own food and drinks since restaurants or eatery within the vicinity are very limited. On some occasions, Sir Boy and his wife accept paluto. You just have to provide all the ingredients needed and their rate depends on the food you requested to be cooked.

Note: You can tell the tricycle driver to drop you off at the nearest public market to buy some goods for ‘paluto’ before you proceed to the registration’s area.

If you don’t want to camp, there’s one ‘kubo’ for rent near the registration hall. According to our tour guide, Sir Vher, the rate is around 300php and it can accommodate up to 10 persons.
